Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Exhaust Front Underbody Heat Shield - Remove
- Fuel Feed and Evaporative Emission Pipe - Remove -
Mid Intermediate Steering Shaft (1) - Remove - Mid Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement
- Lower the vehicle.
Brake Pipe Fitting (2) - Disconnect
- Plug the brake pressure modulator valve pipe to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- Brake Pipe Retainer (1) - Release [2x]
Brake Pipe Retainer (1) - Release [2x]
Brake Pipe Retainer (1) - Release
- Raise the vehicle.
- Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter - Remove - Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LGX) and Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (LGX) or Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LTA) and Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (LTA)
- Support the transmission with a suitable jack.
- Transmission Mount - Remove - Transmission Mount Replacement (AWD)Transmission Mount Replacement (LSY with MHS)
- Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Disconnect
- Cap the brake hose inlet fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- Lower the transmission to allow adequate clearance to remove the brake pipe.
- Remove the brake pipe from the vehicle.
