Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Pad Replacement

WARNING: Refer to SIR Warning . Preliminary Procedures Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove the driver or passenger seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Removal and Installation . Remove the driver or passenger seat inner recliner finish cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Inner Recliner Finish Cover Replacement . Remove the front seat cushion outer finish panel. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Outer Finish Panel Replacement (With W2E) and Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Outer Finish Panel Replacement (Without W2E) . Remove the front seat front extension, if equipped. Refer to Front Seat Front Extension Cushion Replacement . Whenever the inflatable restraint passenger presence system or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Control Module References .
1	Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Cover Procedure Disengage the J-channel retainers from the seat cushion frame. Disconnect any or all electrical connectors, if equipped. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad from the seat cushion frame as an assembly. Remove all hog rings attaching the cover to the pad and replace with new. Pull the cover away from the pad to disengage the retainers. If the seat is equipped with the lane departure warning actuator, transfer the actuator as necessary. Refer to Front Seat Lane Departure Warning Actuator Replacement When replacing the front passenger seat cushion, you must also replace the inflatable restraint passenger presence system. 2	Front Seat Cushion Heater, if equipped.
3	Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Pad Procedure Transfer parts as necessary.
