Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence System Replacement - Front (without Yukon Hybrid and Tahoe Hybrid)

WARNING: Refer to SIR Warning . WARNING: Replace the passenger presence system as a complete assembly to prevent possible injury to the occupant. All the components in the service kit are assembled and calibrated as a unit. Using only some of the components in the service kit will cause the passenger presence system to operate improperly. Preliminary Procedure Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Removal and Installation - Bucket (without HP2) , Front Seat Removal and Installation - Bucket (with HP2) .
1	Front Seat Recliner Lever (If Equipped) Procedure Using a flat-bladed tool, push the retainer clip downward and pull outward to release the knob.
2	Front Seat Adjuster Outer Finish Cover Refer to Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (with HP2) , Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Manual Seat without HP2) , Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Power Seat without HP2) .
3	Front Seat Adjuster Inner Finish Cover Refer to Front Seat Cushion Inner Trim Panel Replacement (without HP2) , Front Seat Cushion Inner Trim Panel Replacement (with HP2) .
4	Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Procedure Disengage the j-channel retainers from the seat cushion frame. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad from the seat cushion frame as an assembly.
5	Inflatable Restraint Front Passenger Presence Sensor Procedure Lay the seat on its side. Unhook connector from retainer on seat frame and push up through seat pan. Disconnect and remove sensor.
6	Front Seat Adjuster Assembly Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Replacement , or Front Seat Adjuster Replacement (with HP2) , Front Seat Adjuster Replacement (without HP2) .

8	Inflatable Restraint Front Passenger Presence Module Procedure The inflatable restraint passenger presence module must be replaced as a kit that also includes the sensor assembly. Tahoe Hybrid and Yukon Hybrid (not Denali) vehicles ONLY get a re-zero, all other vehicles no re-zero is needed.
