Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Air Conditioning, Power Steering, and Water Pump

Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Air Conditioning, Power Steering, and Water Pump

Callout Component Name
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Remove the front section of the supercharger inlet duct assembly. Refer to Supercharger Inlet Duct Assembly Replacement .
  3. Remove the supercharger drive belt. Refer to Supercharger Belt Replacement .
  4. Remove the air conditioning, power steering, and water pump drive belt. Refer to Water Pump and Air Conditioning Compressor and Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement .
1 Drive Belt Tensioner Assembly Bolt

Tighten:  50 N.m (37 lb ft)

2 Drive Belt Tensioner Assembly
Tip: 
  • Rotate the tensioner in a clockwise direction during belt removal and installation.
  • Remove and install the tensioner and bolt as an assembly.
  • Ensure that the alignment pin on the rear of the tensioner assembly is aligned with the locating hole on the camshaft actuator housing during installation and torque procedure.
