Water Pump and Air Conditioning Compressor and Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement

Water Pump and Air Conditioning Compressor and Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement

Callout Component Name
Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Remove the front section of the supercharger inlet duct assembly. Refer to Supercharger Inlet Duct Assembly Replacement .
  3. Remove the supercharger drive belt. Refer to Supercharger Belt Replacement .
1 Air Conditioning, Power Steering, and Water Pump Drive Belt
Tip: 
  1. Rotate the tensioner assembly clockwise and remove the belt from the water pump pulley.
  2. Remove the drive belt from behind the tensioner assembly. Access the belt from the side of the tensioner pulley in the location of the lower power steering reservoir mounting nut.
  3. Allow the tensioner to return to the relaxed position and remove the belt
  4. Ensure the drive belt is properly aligned and seated into the grooves of the accessory drive pulleys.
