Preliminary Procedures Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging . Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement . Remove the air conditioning compressor hose from the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement (LTG) . Remove the right front compartment splash shield. Refer to Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement . Remove the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Front Liner Replacement . Remove the air conditioning compressor heat shield. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Heat Shield Replacement (LTG) . Disconnect the air conditioning compressor electrical connector.
1	Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt (Qty:2) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . NOTE: Tighten the air conditioning compressor mounting fasteners in sequence. Tighten 22 N.m (12 lb ft)
2	Air Conditioning Compressor Nut Tighten 22 N.m (12 lb ft)
3	Air Conditioning Compressor Stud Tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
4	Air Conditioning Compressor Procedure Remove and discard the old sealing washers and replace with NEW sealing washers. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement . When replacing the air conditioning compressor, balance the compressor oil. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Oil Balancing .
