Preliminary Procedures
- Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

- Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement
.
- Remove the air conditioning compressor hose from the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement (LTG) .
- Remove the right front compartment splash shield. Refer to Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement
.
- Remove the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Front Liner Replacement
.
- Remove the air conditioning compressor heat shield. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Heat Shield Replacement (LTG) .
- Disconnect the air conditioning compressor electrical connector.

Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt (Qty:2)
NOTE:
Tighten the air conditioning compressor mounting fasteners in sequence. Tighten 22 N.m (12 lb ft) |

Air Conditioning Compressor Nut Tighten 22 N.m (12 lb ft) |

Air Conditioning Compressor Stud Tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in) |

Air Conditioning Compressor Procedure
- Remove and discard the old sealing washers and replace with NEW sealing washers. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement .
- When replacing the air conditioning compressor, balance the compressor oil. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Oil Balancing .
