Installing front brake pads

• If applicable, observe the identification of the removed brake pads.

  The brake pads must not be replaced in case of a one-sided pad wear.

• Install the brake pads (1) in the brake caliper in the arrow direction.

• Remove the special tool (cable tie) 2 413 317 .
• Install the brake caliper (3).
• Replace screws.

• Tighten the screws (1), if applicable, hold against the hexagon head (2).
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Guide bolt (brake caliper on brake anchor plate)
  M8 Replace screws.	Tightening torque	35 Nm

Follow-up work 

• Refer to INSTALLING THE FRONT BRAKE PAD WEAR SENSOR .
• Refer to INSTALLING THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT WHEELS .
• Refer to COMMISSIONING/BEDDING IN (BRAKE) NEW BRAKE PADS AND BRAKE DISCS .
• Refer to PERFORM THE CBS RESET .
