Install the tension strut

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Deflection of the ball joint of the tension strut by more than 25° .
Damage to the bellows and premature wear in the ball joint .

The tension strut may be angled at a maximum of 25° when installing and removing it!

Replace the cage nut (1).
Parts: Cage nut

Push output shaft (1) slightly upwards.
Feed in the tension strut (2) in the arrow direction.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Tighten the screw connection in the NORMAL POSITION .

Position the tension strut (1) on the front subframe.
Replace the screw (2).
Parts: Screw
Feed in screw (2) and tighten hand-tight.
The screw connection is tightened later in NORMAL POSITION .

Position the tension strut (2) on swivel bearing (3).
Replace nut (1).
Parts: Nut

Tighten nut (1). If necessary, counter support at the Torx socket.

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Tension strut to swivel bearing
M14 Replace nut.	Tightening torque	175 Nm
