Install catalytic converter

• Replace the V-clip (1).

  Parts:  V-band clamp

• Replace the seal (1).

  CAUTION: Heavy component.
  Heavy components can lead to injury or damage. 

  • Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
• Guide in and install the catalytic converter (1) in the arrow direction.
• Make sure that the oxygen sensor monitor (2) is not  damaged.

• Replace the V-clip (2).

• Feed in and install V-band clamp (2) on the catalytic converter (3).
• Position the bolt (1).

• Version A: 

  Replace the screw (1).

  Parts:  Screw

  Position the bolt (1).

  Replace nut (2).

  Parts: 

  Nut Position the nut (2).

• Version B: 

  Replace nuts (1).

• Position the catalytic converter (3).
• Position V-clip (2).
  NOTE: Make sure the V-ribbon clip is installed in the correct position.
• Tighten down screw (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Catalytic converter/petrol particulate filter to exhaust turbocharger
  V-band clamp Replace V-band clamp.	Tightening torque	13 Nm

• Version A 

  Tighten down screw (1).

  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Catalytic converter to holder
  M8 Replace screw.	Tightening torque	19 Nm

• Tighten nut (2).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

  M8 Replace nut.	Tightening torque	19 Nm

• Version B: 

  Tighten nuts (1).

• Replace pressure hose (1)

  If necessary, cut open the tight pressure hose with a suitable tool.

  Parts:  Pressure hose

• Insert the pressure hose (1) in the arrow direction all the way to the stop.
• Make sure that the pressure hose is at least at a 10 mm distance  to the adjacent components.

Follow-up work 

• Install EXHAUST SYSTEM .
• Install the tunnel connecting SUPPORTS .
• Install left and right tank COVER .
• Install lambda OXYGEN SENSOR .
• Install rear ACOUSTIC COVER .
• Install the upper COWL .
• Install windshield panel COVER .
• Install left and right WIPER ARM .
• Install the rear left engine compartment COVER .
• Install the rear right engine compartment COVER .
• Install ACOUSTIC COVER .
• Install the front hood rear SEAL .
