63 12 140 Removing and installing (replacing) left headlight - LED technology -

Attention! 

FOLLOW NOTES FOR HANDLING LIGHT BULBS (EXTERIOR LIGHTS) .

Attention! 

Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage, refer to: (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Remove the FRONT BUMPER PANEL

Note on removal: 

In case the screw is stuck, counter support the square nut (1) on the adjusting element by means of pliers for a water pump (2).

Removal: 

Release both screws (1) on headlight.

Pull gasket (1) off headlight (4).

Slacken both screws (2).

Unlock and disconnect connector (3).

Guide out headlight (4).

Replacement: 

• US version:  Checking blocking at horizontal position, refer to: US VERSION: CHECK/REPLACE THE HORIZONTAL BLOCKING SETS FOR THE HEADLIGHTS 
• Remount the FELL CONTROL UNIT  at left
• Remount the LED MODULE FOR CORNERING LIGHT  at left
• Remount the LED MODULE(S) FOR LEFT DAYTIME DRIVING LIGHTS 

Installation: 

Guide in headlight (4).

Connect connector (3).

Tighten both screws (2).

Tightening torque, refer to: 63 12 1AZ .

Secure gasket (1) on headlight (4).

Required follow-up work: 

• Install the FRONT BUMPER PANEL
• Adjust the HEADLIGHT .
