Installing the component carrier

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The sealing surfaces must be free of oil, grease and cleaning agents.

- Check centering sleeves (1) in the marked
area for damage and replace centering sleeves (1) if necessary.
- Clean sealing surfaces (1) with special tool 0 495 102 (11 4 470)
.
- Guide the connecting pipe (1) out of the component carrier (2) in the arrow direction and remove it.
- Replace sealing rings (1) on thee connecting pipe (2).

- Coat sealing rings (1) with coolant before installing.
- Guide the connecting pipe (1) in the arrow direction and install it on the component carrier (2).
- Replace sealing ring (1).

CAUTION: Heavy component.
Heavy components can lead to injury or damage.- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Insert and install function carrier (1) using the connecting pipe (2).NOTE: Lay the air conditioning compressor to one side with an assistant so that the screws on the component carrier can be tightened more easily.
- Hand-tighten the bolts (1).
- Hand-tighten the bolts (1).
- Tighten down screws (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Coolant pump with function carrier on crankcase M8x35 tightening torque 19 Nm - Tighten down screws (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Coolant pump with function earner on crankcase M8x35 tightening torque 19 Nm - Secure clamps (1).
- Connect and lock coolant line (1).
- Make sure that the coolant line (1) engages audibly.
- Insert and install the air conditioning compressor (3).
- Tighten down screws (2).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Air conditioning compressor in component carrier M10 Tightening torque 38 Nm - Connect and lock the connector (1).
- Make sure the connector (1) engages audibly.
- Insert and install the holder (2).
- Tighten down screw (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Holder for transmission oil lines on component earner M6X16 Tightening torque 12 Nm
