- Push the refrigerant line (1) slightly to one side and loosen the screw (2).
Releasing the bottom steering shaft on the steering column
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The steering shaft and the steering column are not encoded to each other. At the time of removal, installation and replacement, mark the positioning of the steering shaft in relation to the steering column. Non-compliance will lead to inclination of the steering wheel.

- Mark the positioning of the bottom steering shaft (1) to the steering column (2) in the gap (3).
- Loosen the clamping bolt (1).
- Pull the bottom steering shaft (2) down from the steering column.
- Push the carpet (1) in the area of the B-pillar to the side.
- Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Slacken nut (1).
- Loosen nuts (1).
- Loosen screws (2).
- Loosen nuts (1) and remove left and right retainer.
- Loosen nuts (2).
- Loosen nuts (1) and (2).NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Conduct the following operation with the assistance of a second person. - Carefully feed out the support for the dashboard to the rear.
If necessary, unlock and disconnect additional plug connections.
