Removing the fan cowl
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING SEAL FOR FRONT HOOD .
- Refer to REMOVING STAND FOR THE HOOD GASKET LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT CROSS CONNECTION .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT-END STRUT .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR CROSS CONNECTION .
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
When the engine is stopped after the completion of trip, it may be necessary to run the electric fan. In rare cases, operation of the electric fan can take up to 11 minutes. This protects the components. In this case, replacing the electric fan is not necessary.

NOTE:
The following step(s) must be performed if the specified component(s) is/are installed.
- Release the transmission oil line (2) .
- Unlock the holder (1) .
- Thread out transmission oil line (2) and set aside.
NOTE:
The following step(s) must be performed if the specified component(s) is/are installed.
- Unlock the clamps (arrows).
- Release the coolant line (1) from the clamps (arrows) and set aside.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unlock plug connection (2)
and disconnect.
- Loosen screw (1) .
- Unlock lock (2) .
- Guide out and remove fan cowl 3 carefully in the arrow direction.
For follow-up work on the engine:
