TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Rattling noises in the engine compartment are caused due to increased play in the linkage of the wastegate valve controller.
To eliminate the rattling noises, a repair kit 5A7A286 for the wastegate linkage with a modified spring and an additional spacer sleeve can be ordered from the applicable BMW parts catalogue.
It is not necessary to replace the entire electrical wastegate valve controller.
