Adjusting Left Or Right Tailgate Hinge

CAUTION: Shutting hood or trunk lid.
Injury hazard!

Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Notes for the gap dimensions of the body form the basis of this REP and it is mandatory to observe them.

NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.

Slacken screw (1) until the tailgate hinge (2) can be shifted.
Shift tailgate hinge (2) until the tailgate has the specified gap dimension for the side panel.

Tighten the screws (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Tailgate hinge to body
M8 screw
	tightening torque
	19 Nm

Check

Check the gap dimensions (arrows) between trunk lid and side panels.

» Gap dimensions do not correspond to the specifications.

Measure
Adjust tailgate hinge.
