Install the tension spring or spindle drive

CAUTION: Shutting hood or trunk lid.
Injury hazard!

Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.

Install the tension spring

Position the gas spring (1) with the ball sockets on the ball hubs and engage with force.

Installing the spindle drive

Position the spindle drive (2) on the ball hub with the ball socket and snap it in with force.
Connect connectors (1) and lock.
