Adjusting Trunk Lid
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVE TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING BOTH TRUNK LID COVERS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TRUNK LID LIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVE THE POWER TAILGATE SWITCH .
- Refer to REMOVE THE TRIM FOR THE TOP REAR WINDOW FRAME .
- Refer to REMOVE BOTH TRIM PIECES FOR THE SIDE REAR WINDOW FRAME .
NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the spindle drive.
Shifting the trunk lid manually can damage the spindle drive.
Damage to the spindle drive.
Shifting the trunk lid manually can damage the spindle drive.
- Only shift trunk lid slowly hand force.

NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Undo screws (1) until the trunk lid can be shifted.
Check
- Check the gap dimensions (arrows) between trunk lid and side panels.
Result
» Gap dimensions do not correspond to the specifications.
Measure
- Adjust trunk lid.NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Tighten the screws (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Trunk lid to the hinge Hexagon screw M8 Tightening torque 28 Nm
