11 51 000 Removing and installing/replacing the coolant pump: Notes

  • Conduct all work in appropriate personal protective equipment only.
NOTE: Vehicles versions prior to 11/2015 are equipped with a coolant pump with a switch. Do not exchange it separately. The component carrier must be replaced complete with the coolant pump (conversion to coolant pump without switch).
After the installation of the coolant pump without switch, the then unused vacuum hoses must be sealed with sealing caps.
Vehicles versions as of 11/2015 are equipped with a coolant pump without a switch. It can be exchanged separately.
NOTE: Collect and dispose of emerging fluids. Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.
