17 11 059 Removing and installing/replacing both module carriers with stone chip guard

Loosen screws (1).
Remove the bottom cover (2).

Loosen screw (1).
Disconnect the right module carrier (2) together with the cooler module mount and remove to the bottom.

Loosen screw (1).
Disconnect the left module carrier (2) together with the cooler module mount and remove to the bottom.

Install the top and bottom stone chip guard (1) on the new module carriers on the right (2) and left (3).
Mount the cooler module mounts (4) on the left and right on the module carrier.

Feed in and install the stone chip guard (1) with the module carriers and the cooler module mounts from the bottom.

Attach the module carrier with the cooler module mounts (1) to the adapter plates of the front axle support.
Tighten down screws (2).
TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Cooler module mount on the adapter plate

8 Nm

Install the bottom cover (2).
Tighten the screws (1).
