Replacing right radial shaft seal on differential (AISIN F22AW) (X2 sDrive 28i 2018-2023)

Special tools required:

- 2 410 609
- 2 405 250
Necessary preliminary work:
- Refer to REMOVING RIGHT OUTPUT SHAFT .
- Refer to REMOVING INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
Removal:
Screw special tool 2 410 609 into radial shaft seal.
Turn the screw on the special tool until the radial shaft seal is pulled out.
Installation:
Installation note:
Coat sealing lips of new radial shaft seal with clean transmission oil.
Drive shaft seal firmly home with special tool 2 405 250.
Required follow-up work:
- Refer to INSTALLING RIGHT OUTPUT SHAFT .
- Refer to CHECKING TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL .
- Refer to INSTALLING INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
