52 17 020 Removing and installing/replacing seat frame on left or right front seat (Comfort)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove front seat . See 52 14 001 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SEAT, DRIVER'S SIDE or 52 14 002 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SEAT, FRONT PASSENGER SIDE
REMOVE inner cover on front seat
Remove OUTER COVER ON FRONT SEAT

Drill out rivets (1) on left and right.

Installation note:

Completely remove rivet residue.

Unhook seat cover on left and right.

Release all plug connections and cable clips from the seat frame.

Release screws (1).

Disengage backrest frame with wiring harness.

Installation note:

Clean thread of nut in event of repeated use.

Apply screw locking.

Tightening torque 52 10 02AZ .

Replacement only:

Remove complete seat cover . See 52 17 402 REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR DRIVER'S SEAT (COMFORT) or 52 17 404 REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR PASSENGER FRONT SEAT (COMFORT)
Remove FORWARD/BACK SEAT ADJUSTMENT DRIVE UNIT
Remove DRIVE FOR SEAT ANGLE ADJUSTMENT
Remove DRIVE FOR SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
