41 12 557 Stripping Operations - Replacing Luggage Compartment Floor, Middle (Tail Panel Removed) (Non-Hybrid)

NOTE: Owing to the different engine variants and equipment specifications, not all the components are taken into consideration.
The following list basically represents the removal sequence.

Remove exhaust system. Refer to:
For N20: 18 00 020

For N52: 18 00 020

For N55: 18 00 020

For N57 Diesel: 18 00 018

For N63: 18 00 020

For S63: 18 00 020
Remove heat shield
If fitted: Remove active anti-roll bar at rear (37 12 220 )

Remove BATTERY .

Remove NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE (1).

Release nut (2) and remove ground connection. Tightening torque 41 34 2AZ .

Disconnect plug connections and remove control unit (3).

Release wiring harness (4) with gasket and feed out.

Release positive wire (5) with cable channel and lay to one side.

Release positive battery cables (6) and lay to one side.
