51 16 172 Removing and installing/replacing center armrest storage compartment

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR CENTER CONSOLE TRIM
Remove CENTER CONSOLE COVER

Release screw (4).

Feed out storage compartment (2), unlocking retaining hooks (3) by pressing the open button if necessary.

Release plug connections on inside of center console (1) and disconnect.

Installation note:

Make sure cables are correctly routed.

Disconnect plug connections underneath storage compartment (1) and disconnect.

Installation note:

Make sure cables are correctly routed.

Remove storage compartment (1).

Replacement:

Remove LED FOR CENTER ARMREST STORAGE COMPARTMENT
Remove USB/AUDIO INTERFACE CONNECTING SOCKET
Remove EJECT BOX
