32 41 333 Replacing pressure line for hydraulic steering, from junction to vane pump (AWD with N55 engine)

Special tools required: 

• 32 1 270

Recycling 

Catch and dispose of hydraulic fluid in a suitable collecting vessel.

Necessary preliminary tasks 

• Draw off and dispose of hydraulic fluid from oil reservoir
• Remove underbody protection at front and rear. See FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION and REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
• Remove front stiffening plate (F12 all-wheel drive vehicles)
• Remove FAN COWL
• Remove CHARGE-AIR DUCT
• Remove AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR

Detach VANE PUMP  from engine.

Turn vane pump up, release screw (1) and pull pressure line (2) off of power steering pump.

Installation note: 

Tightening torque, 32 41 10AZ

Replace all sealing rings.

Make sure hydraulic line is laid without tension and with sufficient distance to adjoining components.

Release screw (1) and remove pressure line (2) towards top.

Tightening torque 32 41 11AZ

Pressure lines must be provided with suitable plugs 32 1 270 immediately after removal.

Installation note: 

Replace all sealing rings.

Make sure pressure line is laid without tension and with sufficient spacing to adjoining components.

After installation 

• Fill and bleed HYDRAULIC SYSTEM 
• Check line connections for leaks
• Vehicles with Dynamic Drive: Carry out INITIAL DYNAMIC DRIVE OPERATION
