11 61 050 Removing and installing intake plenum (N54, N54T)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
• Remove ENGINE COVER .
• If necessary, remove TRAILING LINK (risk of damage to charging pressure sensor).
• Release screws on CHARGE AIR DUCT at rear (do not remove)

Pull off vacuum hose (1).

Release tank vent valve (2) from bracket.

Release hose (3) and lay to one side.

Disconnect plug connection (1) on oil pressure switch (2).

Disconnect plug connection (2).

Fig 3: Identifying Fuel Line Plug Connection, Nuts And Screw

Unscrew nuts (3).

Release screw (4).

Tightening torque 11 61 1AZ .

Raise intake air manifold.

Release screws (1).

Place cable duct (2) to one side.

Cut cable tie (1).

Installation note: 

Replace all seals (3).

Installation note: 

Replace all gaskets. 

Assemble engine.
