13 71 170 Removing and installing/replacing rear air duct (N54, N54T)

IMPORTANT: Levering at the top of the air duct results in risk of damage! 
Air duct may break!

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

NOTE: The overview shows the removed engine for better clarity.

Release sheet metal nuts (1).

Unfasten screws (2).

Remove heat shield (3).

Unlock and disconnect line (1).

Unlock connector (2) and remove.

Unlock and disconnect snap fastener (3).

Installation note: 

Turn the lock (1) until the arrows line up.

IMPORTANT: Do not pull the air duct off from the top!
Risk of damage! 
Air duct may break!

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 13 71 8AZ .

Release screw (2) and remove holder (3).

Tightening torque 13 71 12AZ .

Pull off air duct (1) from exhaust turbocharger, feed out and remove.

Installation note: 

Check sealing ring (1) for damage.

Replace damaged sealing ring.

Make sure sealing ring (1) is correctly seated in air duct (2).

Required follow-up work: 

Check air duct for tightness.
