51 31 201 Adjusting rear window

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR SPOILER

Prerequisite:

TAILGATE . must be correctly adjusted

IMPORTANT: Rear window hinge is under preload!

Slacken but do not release nuts (1) for rear window bracket (2).

Adjust rear window (1) according to BODY GAP DIMENSIONS . and fix in position with nuts (2).

Tightening torque: 51 31 1 AZ .

Bottom underprotrusion settings:

Determine underprotrusion (x) between body edge and rear window.

Release lock nut (1) of lock bracket (2).

Adjust underprotrusion (x) by turning lock bracket (2).

Installation note:

Always lock the lock bracket (2) in correct position for locking rear window.
