51 45 263 Removing and installing cover on right instrument panel (radio/glove box)

Special tools required: 

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!
When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.

Optional equipment CIC: 

A hard disk is installed in the Car Information Computer (CIC).

Carry out mechanical work on the CIC and adjacent components with care.

Avoid subjecting the CIC to shaking/shocks.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Depending on equipment in upper insert:

Installation: 

Marked retaining lug on climate/heater control panel cover (1) must not be damaged.

Release screws (1) from right instrument panel cover (2).

Unclamp cover in marked area and carefully remove from the driver's side over the center console toward the rear.

WARNING: Absolutely avoid scratches or damage of the surfaces.

Installation: 

Renew faulty retaining clips.

Replacement 

Modify retaining clip.
