51 34 171 Replacing rear left or right door window

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Open door window to 345 mm.
Remove SOUND INSULATION in rear door..
Remove OUTER WINDOW CAVITY COVER STRIP .
Remove COVER ON DOOR WINDOW FRAME .
Remove TRIM ON REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME .
Remove RUBBER GUIDE FOR REAR DOOR WINDOW GLASS .

Open door window glass (1) down to distance (A)

(A) = approx. 345 mm

Release screw (2).

Tightening torque: see 3AZ in 51 35 POWER WINDOWS, REAR .

IMPORTANT:

Danger of locking in position!

Disconnect plug connection (1) at power window motor (2).

Feed out door window glass (1) towards top rear.

Installation:

Door window glass (1) does not need to be adjusted.
