Use the following tools when performing electrical checks on the instrument cluster:

• Digital multimeter (Fluke 83 or equivalent)
• Instrument/Gauge Tester: VAG 1301 
• Test Box: VAG 1598A 
• Adapter: VAG 1598/4  Harness
• : Vag1598/13  Adapter Harness

   • Speedometer Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)
   • Removing and installing SPEEDOMETER
