Hood, Adjusting: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 Volkswagen Touareg, 2013 Volkswagen Touareg, 2012 Volkswagen Touareg, and 2011 Volkswagen Touareg. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:

The vehicle must be standing on the ground when adjusting the hood.

The left and right adjusting buffers -2- are not meant for adjusting. They stabilize or cushion the hood.

The hood is properly adjusted when there is an overall even gap dimension when it is closed. It is not too far inward or outward and the contours align.

The hood must latch into the hood latch without using much force.

Do not remove the nuts, just loosen them.
