Pre-Catalytic Converter, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specification for engine codes CASA, CASD. Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT EXHAUST PIPE WITH CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND PARTICULATE FILTER, ENGINE CODES CASA, CASD .
Tightening specification for engine code CATA. Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT EXHAUST PIPE WITH CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REDUCTION CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND PARTICULATE FILTER .

NOTE:

Replace the seals and self-locking nuts.

When installing, bring all cable ties back to same positions.

-- Install the subframe. Refer to SUBFRAME, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the universal joint on steering gear. Refer to the appropriate Service Information .

-- Install the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495-. Refer to Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, CASA, CASD .

-- Install the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 2 -G448-. Refer to Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 2 -G448-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the turbocharger heat shield.

-- Install the NOx Sensor -G295- and Oxygen Sensor 1 before Catalytic Converter -GX10-. Refer to Oxygen Sensor 1 before Catalytic Converter -GX10-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ENGINE CODES CASA, CASD .

-- Install the particulate filter. Refer to PARTICULATE FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .

-- Fill with coolant. Refer to COOLANT, FILLING .

-- Install the noise insulation and bracket. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- On a vehicle with air suspension, deactivate vehicle lift mode. Refer to VEHICLE LIFT MODE .
