Input Shaft Assembly Overview

NOTE:
Attach transmission to assembly stand. Refer to TRANSMISSION, SECURING TO ASSEMBLY STAND .
When installing new gears, consult technical data. Refer to CODE LETTERS, ASSEMBLY ALLOCATION, RATIOS AND CAPACITIES .
Lubricate all bearings with gear oil when inserting on input shaft.
- Securing Ring
- For the grooved ball bearing/input shaft -6-
- Removing and installing, refer to TRANSMISSION WITHOUT CIRCLIP A FOR CAP/INPUT SHAFT
- Spacer Washer
- Outer circumference = 78.6 mm
- Only insert with the changed transmission housing (from transmission production date 4.10.06 through approximately 1.20.08), refer to GROOVED BALL BEARING CHANGES
- Allocation.
- Transmission Housing
- Adapted in the grooved ball bearing seat area -6- and spacer washers -2- and -4- from transmission build date 4/10/06 through approximately 1/20/08, refer to GROOVED BALL BEARING CHANGES .
- Flattened areas on grooved ball bearing and bearing seat approximately from transmission build date 1.21.08, refer to GROOVED BALL BEARING CHANGES
- Allocation.
- Spacer Washer
- Outer circumference = 85 mm
- Only insert with the changed transmission housing (from transmission production date 4.10.06 through approximately 1.20.08), refer to GROOVED BALL BEARING CHANGES
- Allocation.
- Securing Ring
- When replacing grooved ball bearing -6- and input shaft -8-, determine again DETERMINING CIRCLIP
- Grooved Ball Bearing
- Always replace
- Pulling off REMOVING THE GROOVED BALL BEARING
- Installation location GROOVED BALL BEARING INSTALLED POSITION
- Pressing on PRESS ON THE GROOVED BALL BEARING WITH THE RUBBER RING
- Flattened areas on grooved ball bearing and bearing seat approximately from transmission build date 1.21.08, refer to GROOVED BALL BEARING CHANGES
- 5th Gear Toothed Wheel
- Pressing off REMOVING THE 5TH GEAR WHEEL
- Installed position: the surrounding groove -arrow- points toward the grooved ball bearing -6-
- Pressing on INSTALLING 5TH GEAR WHEEL
- Input Shaft
- With 3rd/4th and 6th gear wheels
- Roller Bearing
- With circlip
- Pulling out PULLING CYLINDRICAL ROLLER BEARING OFF CLUTCH HOUSING
- Installing PRESSING CYLINDRICAL ROLLER BEARING INTO CLUTCH HOUSING
- Installed position: the circlip in bearing points to input shaft
- Clutch Housing
