Replacing the Steering Column: Removal: Preparations

Disconnect the battery lead according to Removal .
Remove:
- the soundproofing according to Removing the Soundproofing
- the steering wheel module, steering wheel and contact reel according to Removing the Contact Reel
- the wiper and turn signal lamp switch according to Removing the Switch
Remove:
- the 2 screws for the cover (C)
- the cover
- the screw (D) holding the mechanical cable
- the mechanical cable (B) carefully
- the control arm (A).
