Heating/Ventilation, Complete Replacement: Design

The heating/ventilation system consists of three parts.
- Fan housing
- Power unit with or without AC system.
- Heater unit with damper and heat exchanger.
These parts should be replaced separately, but the instrument panel must be dismantled in such a case, See Removing the Dashboard .
When replacing the heater unit, the instrument panel and the whole middle console has to be dismantled.
The fan motor, pollen filter and resistor can be replaced without removing the instrument panel.
