Refurbishing Rear Brake Caliper: Finishing

Check

brake caliper guide; see Guide Pins For Brake Caliper Rear, Checking .
the brake disc; see Brake Disc Rear, Checking .

Remount the brake pads, see Brake Pads Rear, Installing .

Reinstall the parking brake cable; see Installing the Parking Brake Cable Underneath the Car .

Position the brake caliper on the holder and fit the screw. Tightening torque: 33 Nm. Attach the brake hose. Use new seals. Tightening torque: 29 Nm.

Make sure that the brake hose is not twisted.

Bleed the brake system; see Bleeding Brake System .

Mount the wheel; see Wheels, Installing . Depress the brake pedal several times. Check the brake fluid level.

Check the setting of the parking brake; see General .
