Checking and adjusting the cable at the steering wheel lock cylinder

Insert the key in the ignition switch.

Try to remove the key from the ignition switch with the gear selector in all the different gear positions. Do not use more force than is usually required to remove the key.

NOTE: It should only be possible to remove the key from the ignition switch when the gear selector lever is in P position.

The cable sleeve must be adjusted if the key can be removed from the ignition switch when the gear selector lever is in another position. See Checking and adjusting the cable in the center console .

Install:

the center console according to Rear center console
the lower steering column cover
the lower dashboard.
