Checking and adjusting the cable in the center console

Select P position. The system is locked when P position is selected. It should not be possible to move the gear selector to another position.

Turn the ignition to position 2. Depress the brake pedal or press the SHIFTLOCK OVERRIDE button.

Press the SHIFTLOCK OVERRIDE button (A)
It should now be possible to move the gear selector. Adjust the cable sleeve (B) if the gear selector cannot be moved.
