Removing the lock mechanism for the tailgate

Remove:
- the panel according to Removing the tailgate panel
- the control rod from the lock by pressing the pin out
- the 3 screws (A)
- the lock mechanism
- the connectors.
NOTE:
The following applies to cars with emergency opening handles on the inside. Pry apart the eyelet on the lever. Remove the cable.
