Checking the wiring

HINT: This step requires 2 breakout boxes.

Ignition off
Disconnect the transmission control module (TCM).
Connect adapter 9511505 and breakout box 9511428 to the transmission control module (TCM) connector (transmission side).
Disconnect the gearbox connector
Connect adapter 9511505 and breakout box 9511428 to the transmission connector (transmission control module (TCM) side).
Connector to the transmission unplugged.
Check the cable between transmission control module (TCM) #A51 (#A51) and transmission #U (#A18) for open-circuit and short-circuit to either voltage or ground.

Check the cable between transmission control module (TCM) #A53 (#A53) and transmission #E (#A5) for open-circuit and short-circuit to supply voltage or ground.

Ignition off
Transmission control module (TCM) disconnected.
Breakout box connected to the transmission control module (TCM) connector (transmission side).
Disconnect the gearbox connector
Adapter 9511505 and breakout box 9511428 connected to the transmission connector (transmission control module (TCM) side).
Check the cable between transmission control module (TCM) #A51 (#A51) and transmission connector #T (#A17) for open-circuit and short-circuit to ground or voltage.

Check the wiring between control module terminal #A53 (#A53) and gearbox connector terminal #E (#A5). Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Remedy as necessary.
