Checking the component
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the gearbox connector
- Connect adapter 9511505 and breakout box 9511428 to the gearbox connector (gearbox side)
- Unplug the transmission connector (transmission control module (TCM) side).
Check that the resistance between the gearbox housing and the gearbox connector terminal #U (#A18) is 0-50 Ω.

- Adapter 9511505 and breakout box 9511428 connected to the transmission connector (transmission control module (TCM) side).
- Gearbox connector disconnected.NOTE:
When the transmission connector is unplugged, the transmission control module (TCM) will generate diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for solenoids and the gear shift position sensor. These do not require fault tracing after completion of this fault tracing.
Check that the voltage between any ground terminal and terminal #U (#A18) is battery voltage.
