Checking wiring and sensors

Check the wiring between the pedal pressure sensor:

Check for an open-circuit, a short-circuit to ground and a short-circuit to supply voltage. Continue with the following check if no fault is found.

Checking the pedal pressure sensor

Check the pedal pressure sensor. Measure the resistance between terminals #A13 and #A32 on the breakout box.

When the brake pedal is not depressed the resistance must be infinite.

When the brake pedal is depressed the resistance must be 0 Ω.

Also check the resistance between terminals #A29 and #A32 on the breakout box.

When the brake pedal is unaffected, the resistance must be 0 Ω.

When the brake pedal is depressed the resistance must be infinite.

Remedy as necessary.
