Hinge to Body, Loosening

-- Remove the C-pillar trim panel. Refer to C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Lower the headliner in the rear area. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the nuts -4- and -5-.

-- Push the rear lid in the -direction of the arrow A- or the -direction of the arrow B-.

-- Tighten the nuts -4- and -5- by hand.

-- Tighten the nuts -4- and -5- to the tightening specification.

-- Check the body gap dimensions using the Gauge - Gap Adjustment: 3371 . For this, pay attention to the BODY REAR .

-- Apply corrosion protection to the hinges, nuts, and bolts. Refer to CORROSION PROTECTION FOR BODY, ATTACHED AND WELDED PARTS .

-- Refer to LOWER ADJUSTING BUFFER, ADJUSTING .
