Clutch Fluid Level, Checking

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit:VAS 6622A
- Torque Wrench 1410:V.A.G 1410
- Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
Test Requirements
- The oil temperature must be 20 to 40 °C (68 to 104 °F).
- The oil temperature can be reached by driving the vehicle for a while.
- The vehicle must be level.
- Final drive must be in the installation position to check oil level.
-- Read the oil temperature using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in Guided Functions .
- The oil temperature must be 20 to 40 °C (68 to 104 °F).
Checking oil level, right
-- Place the Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit:SMN372500 under the clutch chamber.
-- Remove the bolt -1-.
- The level is correct when the fluid comes up to the bottom edge of the filler hole.
-- If necessary, fill the oil. Refer to Oil, Filling .
-- Install the bolt -1- and tighten to the tightening specification.
Checking oil level, left
-- Place the Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit:SMN372500 under the clutch chamber.
-- Remove the bolt -2-.
- The level is correct when the fluid comes up to the bottom edge of the filler hole.
-- If necessary, fill the oil. Refer to Oil, Filling .
-- Install the bolt -2- and tighten to the tightening specification.
