Exhaust Pipes/Mufflers, Disconnecting

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Separating points are provided for separating the exhaust pipes. Refer to Overview - Muffler  .

The separating points are indicated by markings on the exhaust pipe.

Separation of the exhaust pipes is described for one separating point as an example.

-- Separate the exhaust pipe -1- at a right angle at the separating point -2- using a Chain Pipe Cutter:VAS 6254  .

-- When installing, position the rear clamping sleeve -2- central to the side markings -arrows- of the exhaust pipe -1-.

Requirement

-- Tighten the nuts -3- evenly.

-- Align the exhaust system without tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION  .
