Hinge to Body, Loosening

-- Remove the C-pillar trim panel. Refer to C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Lower the headliner in the rear area. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the nuts -4 and 5-.

-- Push the rear lid in the direction of -arrow A- or the direction of -arrow B-.

-- Tighten the nuts -4 and 5- by hand.

-- Tighten the nuts -4 and 5- to the tightening specification.

-- Check the body gap dimensions using the Gauge - Gap Adjustment:3371  . For this, pay attention to the appropriate Service Information.

-- Apply corrosion protection to the hinges, nuts, and bolts. Refer to the appropriate Service Information.

-- Refer to LOWER ADJUSTING BUFFER, ADJUSTING .

-- Refer to STRIKER, ADJUSTING .
