Shift Mechanism Systems Overviews

NOTE:
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery when working on the shift mechanism inside the engine compartment, refer to [For engine(s) CVCA,CPRA,CPKA,CPLA,CJAA,CBUA,CPPA,CCTA,CBFA] Removal and Installation .
Connect the battery and follow the procedures to be performed after connecting the battery, refer to [For engine(s) CVCA,CPRA,CPKA,CPLA,CJAA,CBUA,CPPA,CCTA,CBFA] Removal and Installation .
Remove the air filter housing whenever working on the shift mechanism inside the engine compartment, refer to Removing . .
The shift mechanism must be removed in order to replace the operating cables, refer to SHIFT MECHANISM .
Do not bend the operating cables.
