Right Seal, Replacing On The Manual Transmission, Between The Manual Transmission And Bevel Box

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required

Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal - Component 2:T20143/2
Shop Crane - Drip Tray:VAS6208
Seal Installer - Bevel Box:T10243
Sealing Grease

Bevel Box

-- Remove the bevel box. Refer to BEVEL BOX, REMOVING .

Front Axle Differential Lock

-- Remove front axle differential lock. Refer to FRONT AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK, REMOVING .

Continuation For All

-- Place the Drip Tray or : SMN372500 underneath.

-- Pry out the seal on the manual transmission using the :T20143/2 or :VW681 .

-- Fill the area between the sealing/dust lip -arrow- halfway with Sealing Grease.

-- Lightly oil the new gasket on the outer edge.

-- Install the gasket all the way.

Bevel Box

-- Install the bevel box. Refer to BEVEL BOX .

-- Check the level of the gear oil inside the bevel box. Refer to BEVEL BOX GEAR OIL LEVEL, CHECKING .

Front Axle Differential Lock

-- Install front axle differential lock. Refer to FRONT AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK, INSTALLING .

-- Check the front axle differential lock fluid. Refer to FRONT AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK FLUID .

Continuation For All

-- Check transmission fluid level inside the manual transmission. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .
