Differential Overview

  1. Transmission Housing
  2. Washer
    • For the differential.
    • Always 0.65 mm thick.
  3. Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
  4. Inner Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
  5. Differential Housing
    • Ignore the -arrow-.
  6. Inner Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
  7. Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
  8. Adjusting Shim
    • For the differential.
    • Determining thickness, refer to DIFFERENTIAL, ADJUSTING .
    • Will get damaged when being removed, always replace.
  9. Washer
    • Installed position: The shoulder on inner diameter faces the clutch housing.
  10. Clutch Housing
  11. Seal
  12. Bolt
    • 35 Nm
  13. Locking Ring
    • Insert in the groove running around the stub shaft.
    • Always replace
  14. O-ring
    • Insert in the groove running around the stub shaft.
    • Always replace
  15. Right Stub Shaft
  16. Pressure Spring
  17. Thrust Washer
    • Installed position: Collar toward spring.
  18. Tapered Ring
    • Installed position: differential housing taper.
  19. Locking Ring
    • Insert in the groove running around the stub shaft.
    • Always replace
  20. Bolt
    • 35 Nm
  21. Locking Ring
    • Not available in the US/Canadian market.
    • Only for All Wheel Drive (AWD).
    • Insert in the groove running around the stub shaft.
    • Always replace
  22. O-ring
    • Not available in the US/Canadian market.
    • Only for AWD.
    • Insert in the groove running around the stub shaft.
    • Always replace
  23. Bolt
    • 40 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.
    • Not available in the US/Canadian market.
    • Quantity: 4
    • Always replace
  24. Bevel Box
    • Not available in the US/Canadian market.
  25. Adapter Sleeve
    • For securing the differential bevel gear axle.
    • Removing, refer to Figure.
    • Installing, refer to Figure.
  26. Differential Taper Axle
    • Remove using a drift.
    • Installing, refer to Figure.
  27. Large Differential Bevel Gear
    • Installing, refer to Figure.
  28. Threaded Piece
    • Installing, refer to Figure.
  29. Thrust Washer Union
    • Install using transmission fluid.
    • Installing in the differential housing, refer to Figure.
  30. Small Differential Bevel Gear
    • Removing and installing, refer to Figure.
  31. Locking Ring
    • Insert in the groove running around the stub shaft.
    • Always replace
  32. Tapered Ring
    • Installed position: differential housing taper.
  33. Thrust Washer
    • Installed position: Collar toward spring.
  34. Left Stub Shaft Spring
    • left rear stub shaft installed.
  35. Left Stub Shaft
  36. O-ring
    • For the left stub shaft.
    • Always replace
    • Insert in the groove running around the stub shaft.
  37. Locking Ring
    • Insert in the groove running around the stub shaft.
    • Always replace
  38. Seal
