Oil Pump And Oil Pan Assembly Overview

- 15 Nm
- Sealing flange
- With seal
- Must be located on dowel sleeves
- Removing and installing. Refer to SEALING FLANGE, BELT PULLEY SIDE .
- Insert with silicone sealant D 176 404 A2. Refer to SEALING FLANGE, BELT PULLEY SIDE .
- Do not additionally oil or grease sealing lip of seal.
- Before installing, remove oil residue from crankshaft journal with a clean cloth.
- Seal for crankshaft - ribbed belt side, replacing. Refer to CRANKSHAFT SEAL, BELT PULLEY SIDE .
- Chain tensioner with tensioning rail, 15 Nm
- When installing, pretension spring and hook in
- Oil dipstick
- Oil level must not exceed max. marking!
- Marks. Refer to ENGINE OIL, CHECKING LEVEL .
- Inlet spout
- Guide tube
- Fitting sleeves
- O-ring
- Replace
- 15 Nm
- Suction line
- Clean strainer if soiled
- Splash wall
- 15 Nm
- 15 Nm
- Oil pan
- Clean sealing surface before installing
- Install with silicone sealant D 176 404 A2
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PAN .
- Oil drain plug, 30 Nm
- With permanent sealing ring
- Replace
- Oil pump
- With pressure relief valve 12 bar
- Removing and installing. Refer to OIL PUMP .
- Before installing, check to be sure both alignment bushings are present (for centering oil pump/cylinder block)
- Replace if running surfaces and gears are scored
- Chain sprocket for oil pump
- 20 Nm + 90° ( 1
/ 4
turn) additional turn
- Replace
- Chain
- 25 Nm
- Install without sealant
- Oil spray jet
